Our blog is designed to inspire and share real-life experiences of studying and working in higher education. We want to provide a virtual meeting place for academics, researchers, job seekers, PhD students and PhD seekers to take part in a conversation about the things they have in common, their experiences, and to offer advice.
We know about the challenges of working in higher education but the jobs.ac.uk blog is about dispelling some of the myths and focusing on what we can do to overcome the obstacles in our way. We see our blog as a reference point for jobseekers who want to know more about the sector before jumping in, so let’s make them feel at home! If you have a success story, thoughts on better ways of working, or insight into ‘a day in the life’ of a particular department – we want to hear from you.
Writing for our reputable brand offers you the opportunity to become a bit of a thought-leader. Along with offering opportunities to promote yourself, your research or department, you can make an impact on a large audience of jobseekers within HE. We also recruit writers for the jobs.ac.uk Careers Advice section and so you might be interested in taking your writing to the next level and writing for us professionally.

So, if you are working, or have worked, in the higher education sector, we want to hear from you. If you think your voice could inspire others, get in touch with us with a short biography and sample of your writing to WEGmarketing@warwick.ac.uk. Think about your ideas and write up into a short summary of a post that you’d like to write – this will give us an idea of what you can do.
