It’s amazing what can change in six months! I was successful in my AHRC networking grant application – for more details, please do visit the new project website, https://claimedfromstationershall.wordpress.com/ . The project officially begins in August 2017, but I felt it needed a web presence of its own before that. You can also follow it on Twitter, @ClaimedStatHall .
And I completed my assignments for my PGCert, last week. My project has the most unappealing title ever, but does what it says on the tin: “Effective Ways to Deliver Library Induction and User Education to Higher Education Students by Offering Self-Help Interventions to Supplement and Support Taught Sessions.”
My project has been submitted, as part of my e-portfolio for the Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching, along with a Professional Development Plan and the UKPSF Checklist. (UK Professional Standards Framework, for the Higher Education Academy). That completes my obligations for the certificate, and all that remains is to wait for feedback. Hope I’ve passed!
Notwithstanding all that excitement, I’m still combining librarianship and research – from August, I’ll be 70% librarian, 30% postdoctoral researcher for the duration of the project.
