After completing a BA in English and MA in Victorian Literature, Art and Culture at Royal Holloway University of London, I was awarded a full Principal’s Scholarship to undertake a PhD at Liverpool John Moores University where I am currently a sessional lecturer. I began my PhD in September 2018 and analyse the work of the British writer Arthur Conan Doyle (1859-1930). In my posts I hope to shed some light on the PhD process as I progress and to offer some advice to others drawn from the lessons I learn along the way.
