We are delighted to announce that HE Recruitment 2019 will be returning to the University of Warwick this year, on Wednesday 20 November.
Hosted by jobs.ac.uk, in association with SearchHigher, this year’s conference is tailored exclusively to recruitment in universities. Our event will provide a unique platform for human resources professionals to share best practice, learn about innovation in people strategy and gain insights from experts in Higher Education (HE).
We aim to address sector challenges, share new ideas and provide inspiration for your institution’s next recruitment strategy. Delegates will have an opportunity to attend guest speaker presentations, participate in workshops and network with peers, while our dedicated team will be on hand to provide assistance, ensuring you can make the most of your day.
Our knowledgeable line-up of presenters will cover a range of sector specific topics throughout the day; here’s a preview of who you can expect to hear from, so far:
Sue Shutter, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director of Human Resources will be joining us from Regent’s University London. Sue will reflect upon a number of experiences from her time at Regent’s including their approach to appointing a new Vice Chancellor, developments in the selection process and addressing gender parity in Higher Education.
Jack Richardson, Deputy Director of Government Recruitment Service is responsible for a recruitment function that supports more than 200 government departments and agencies. He will discuss his experience delivering a selection of forward thinking projects, from rolling out a new ATS and selection process, through to trialing new approaches to interview techniques, and much more.
Manchester Metropolitan University’s Assistant Director of HR, Julie Griggs, will be joined by her colleague Matt Forrest (Head of Resourcing) and Neil Harrison (Founder and Principal Consultant, NH237 Consulting) to share the story behind Manchester Met’s employer brand transformation. With candidate experience at the heart, the institution has been on a multi-year journey to create a professional and pro-active talent acquisition function. This session will touch on applicant tracking technology, defining an EVP and blending its messages into reward, colleague engagement and a clear people deal for new recruits and current colleagues.
Our very own Mark Holleran, Director of SearchHigher, will be leading a professional services recruitment workshop at this year’s conference. He will deliver an engaging and informative session to explore the challenges associated with attracting professional services talent into Higher Education. Drawing on his experience in the sector, Mark will share examples, discuss best practice and provide advice to overcome these challenges, and support your professional services recruitment strategy.
Representatives from the Brand and Insight Team at ThirtyThree, an award winning employer branding and marketing agency, will divulge the latest recruitment marketing tactics and trends. Applying their experience from delivering recruitment marketing campaigns for a wide range of organisations, including universities, the team will share a number of ideas and recommendations to transform the way organisations attract, recruit and retain talent.
Here is a word from the Director of jobs.ac.uk, Matt Comley:
