This past week or so, blogs seem to be surrounding and enveloping me – and the ones I author have taken on a new importance.
I decided to rationalise some of my blogging, and adopted my fairly recent WordPress Teaching Artist blog as my main presence. Things had been getting too complicated before!
So far, so good. However, in LibraryLand, we’ve been talking about increasing our marketing of electronic resources to our patrons. Twitter and the Whittaker Live blog take on a renewed importance in this context. You can find us on Twitter @Whittakerlib. The Whittaker Live blog ( fifteen years old this year, as we were early adopters in the library blog world) can be found here:- http://whittakerlive.blogspot.com . On Sunday, I couldn’t wait – while lunch was cooking, I drafted a posting about what makes a good blog. Later that day, I followed my 12 rules to the letter, and posted it. Bingo! Our hits doubled overnight. It’s a shame I can’t blog about blogging more, but I clearly hit the spot there.
Do blogs and social media matter? Well, I ask you! What Makes a Good Blog?
