Great jobs for bright people

Written by Erika Raffle-Currie

I have worked at a North West university in Administration/Professional Services since 2004, starting out in programme administration for undergraduate, postgraduate, collaborative and international students. I have worked in a school office, faculty timetabling, and have also undertaken sessional teaching alongside my administrative functions. I commenced my PhD in 2013, and then took a spectacular tumble off the back of a motorbike, which set back my plans considerably. I have been able to do some more lecturing work, for international students, but I have now moved into a central timetabling role on a full time basis. I have a lot of experience of a career within Higher Education; the changes, the challenges, re-structuring and re-alignment. I am involved in some projects in my current role, as we move towards a much better, more cohesive and collaborative timetabling outlook.
